DMS 213 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab III 1 Credit Hours
In this third laboratory class students will be expected to show further understanding and recognition of normal and abnormal anatomy, pathology, and disease processes while working toward consistent image optimization. Physiologic vascular testing principles, techniques, and protocols will be introduced. Students will be expected to document proficiency in assigned ultrasound exams while continuing to practice ergonomic scanning postures.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed: DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography , DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I , DMS 110 Sonography Principles and Instrumentation II , DMS 113 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I , DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography , DMS 120 OB/GYN Sonography I , DMS 123 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab II , DMS 128 Vascular Ultrasound I , and DMS 135 Sonography Clinical Practice I or have program director approval to enroll. Corequisites: DMS 205 OB/GYN Sonography II and DMS 215 Sonography Clinical Practice II , unless otherwise approved by the program director.
