DMS 128 - Vascular Ultrasound I 2 Credit Hours
This course provides in-depth instruction of the anatomy, anatomic variants, peripheral vascular physiology, hemodynamics, and mechanisms of diseases of the cardiovascular system. Students will use this knowledge to develop the critical thinking skills employed in developing differential diagnoses.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed: DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography , DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I , DMS 113 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I , and DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography or have program director approval to enroll. Corequisites: DMS 120 OB/GYN Sonography I , DMS 123 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab II , and DMS 135 Sonography Clinical Practice I , unless otherwise approved by the program director.
