DMS 123 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab II 2 Credit Hours
In this second laboratory class students will become more familiar with comparative anatomy, sonographic appearances of anatomy and pathology, and disease processes. They will continue to practice the skills required to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including but not limited to sonographic technique, following protocols, acquiring correct measurements of anatomy and Doppler signals. Students will also be introduced to the procedures related to ultrasound guided procedures.

Prerequisites: Student must have successfully completed: DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography , DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I , DMS 113 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I , and DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography or have program director approval to enroll. Corequisites: DMS 120 OB/GYN Sonography I , DMS 128 Vascular Ultrasound I , and DMS 135 Sonography Clinical Practice I , unless otherwise approved by the program director.
