DMS 120 - OB/GYN Sonography I 2 Credit Hours
This course provides in-depth instruction of the anatomy, anatomic variants, and sonographic appearance and characteristics of the non-gravid and gravid female pelvis and normal first, second, and third trimester embryonic/fetal structures. Pathology and pathophysiology of the non-gravid female pelvis and first trimester embryonic/fetal structures will be covered.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed: DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography , DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I , DMS 113 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I , and DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography or have program director approval to enroll. Corequisites: DMS 123 Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab II , DMS 128 Vascular Ultrasound I , and DMS 135 Sonography Clinical Practice I unless otherwise approved by the program director.
