DMS 225 - Vascular Ultrasound
3 Credit Hours
The focus of this course is the use of diagnostic imaging to examine the vasculature of the human body. Diseases of the circulatory system, history of diagnosis and treatments of the vascular system, and alternative diagnostic tools will be discussed. Students will learn to perform the vascular tests commonly performed in the healthcare setting.
Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed DMS 100 - Intro to Diagnostic Med Sonography , DMS 105 - Sono Principles & Instrument I , DMS 110 - Sono Principles & Instrument II , DMS 115 - Abdominal Sonography I , DMS 120 - OB/GYN Sonography I , DMS 125 - Sonography Clinical Practice I , DMS 130 - Neurosono & Small Parts Ultrasound , DMS 135 - Sonography Clinical Practrice II , DMS 201 - Abdominal Sonography II , DMS 205 - OB/GYN Sonography II , and DMS 215 - Sonography Clinical Practice III , or program director approval to enroll.
Corequisites: DMS 220 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography Semin and DMS 250 - Sonography Clinical Practice IV , unless otherwise approved by the program director.
