DMS 205 - OB/GYN Sonography II


3 Credit Hours

This course continues the studies of the female pelvis including pathology, physiology, pathophysiology, sonographic technique, measurements, sonographic appearances, Doppler patterns in gynecologic disease processes, and obstetric abnormalities. Attention is given to interventional, invasive, and advanced procedures. Attention is given to common fetal, placental, and uterine anomalies and patholgies. Additionally, second and third trimester fetus development are covered.

Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed DMS 100 - Intro to Diagnostic Med Sonography , DMS 105 - Sono Principles & Instrument I , DMS 110 - Sono Principles & Instrument II , DMS 115 - Abdominal Sonography I , DMS 120 - OB/GYN Sonography I , DMS 125 - Sonography Clinical Practice I , DMS 130 - Neurosono & Small Parts Ultrasound , and DMS 135 - Sonography Clinical Practrice II  or program director approval to enroll.
Corequisites: DMS 201 - Abdominal Sonography II  and DMS 215 - Sonography Clinical Practice III , unless otherwise approved by the program director.
