DMS 113 - Diagnostic Medical Sonography Lab I

This course is an introduction to the sonography lab and the skills associated with performing diagnostic ultrasound exams. Focus will be placed on equipment operation, image production, orientation, and optimization, practicing ergonomic postures, patient care in the ultrasound department, and learning exam protocols.

Prerequisites: Students must be admitted to the program or have program director approval to enroll.
Corequisites: DMS 100 Introduction to Diagnostic Medical Sonography , DMS 105 Sonography Principles & Instrumentation I , and DMS 115 Abdominal Sonography I .
