DMS 115 - Abdominal Sonography I 2 Credit Hours
This course provides a comprehensive study of the normal anatomical structures, relational anatomy, and common anatomic variants of the abdomen and extended areas in both adult and pediatric patients. Emphasis is placed on recognizing normal sonographic appearances, understanding associated physiological processes, and applying standard scanning techniques, measurements, and Doppler flow patterns appropriate for evaluating abdominal and extended structures.
