SURG 102 - Prin & Prac of Surg Technology 5 Credit Hours
This theory course is designed to acquaint the student with the knowledge base necessary to function as a beginning surgical technologist. It includes basic concepts necessary to establish, maintain, and coordinate methods that are required for good patient care in the operating room. Upon completion of this course, the student will demonstrate understanding in the cognitive, psychomotor and affective learning domains related to principles and practice of surgical technology as outlined in the current edition of the Core Curriculum for Surgical Technology as indicated by their final exam and competency scores.
